War Games

Do you want to play a game?  How many of us remember to movie War Games from 1983 where a teenage computer geek was able to hack into a Department of Defense system, ultimately bringing the world to the brink of Nuclear War.

Games are being played today, and experts have said they are becoming more frequent.  Computer Hackers from China and Russia have recently hacked into the US Electrical grid system, The US Air Force flight control system, and files with secret information about our latest Military Aircraft.

Are we seeing a change in how warfare is carried out?  The world has become so reliant on networked computer systems that  a great deal of damage can be done in Cyber War.  If someone is able to gain control of our key systems, we will be in real trouble.  Sound like Conspiracy Theory type stuff?  It is really not all that far fetched.

Our Government better get control of our systems to prevent these kinds of security breaches in the future, otherwise our friends (or should I say enemies) have nothing to lose by stepping up their attackes and probing how far they can go.
